  • Taking stock on Fall 2008 Campaign

    liberalgoliath Dec 21, 2008 08:43

Time to take stock of Dynamo's 2008 Fall Campaign. There are many positives. Victories home and abroad, promising showings for both youngsters and experienced veterans ( Read more... )

  • Dynamo better shape up

    liberalgoliath Nov 30, 2008 10:29

Another very tight, very respectable UEFA Champions League showing, and another point lost in the last minute... Why do we keep screwing up in the last minute? Are the guys THAT unprofessional? Do they not know that the match is played over more than 87 minutes ( Read more... )

  • Dynamo hit a rough patch

    liberalgoliath Nov 12, 2008 16:59

Dynamo have undoubtedly hit a rough patch. What seemed to be a continuation of a very promissing season hit an unexpected snag. As Dynamo were leading Porto 1:0 in the their Champions league match, thing appeared quite rosy, indeed, for Dynamo. A win would have all but placed Dynamo in the play-off stages of the Champions League for the first ( Read more... )

  • Dynamo are still impressive

    liberalgoliath Oct 04, 2008 15:51

To a very workmanlike performance against Arsenal, Dynamo have added another non-embarassing performance in the Champions League, in Istanbul against Fenerbahce. Another draw, 0:0, takes Dynamo's talley, 2 points, in this year's CL Group Stage to equal the combined total from the last two seasons. And they did it in 2 games versus 12 from 2006- ( Read more... )

  • Dynamo encourages cautious optimism

    liberalgoliath Sep 21, 2008 21:53

Another week goes by and, I must admit, I feel much better about Dynamo: a total decapitation of the Chornomorets Odesa away, 3-0, in the league match, and a hopeful start to the Champions League campaign against Arsenal, with a 1-1 home draw (which was only 3-4 minutes away from being an outright victory). This gives us a shot of optimism. ( Read more... )

  • Arsenal is knocking on the door.

    liberalgoliath Sep 13, 2008 13:57

So, after two WC2010 Qualification matches won by Ukrainian National Team, our attention naturally switches back to Dynamo. They had a Ukrainian Cup Third Round match to contest against the familiar opponents, OLKOM Melitopol. It just so happend that it is the third time they travel to Melitopol in this round of Ukrainian Cup in the last 5 years ( Read more... )

  • What's that? A Spartak thud?

    liberalgoliath Aug 28, 2008 09:41

Dynamo had brought Spartak Moscow down with an audible thud once again. Thud! 4-1! Who could have expected such domination? 8-2 on the aggregate? Yes, as usual for such situations, we must discuss the possibility that Spartak being bad contributed far more than Dynamo being good. I refuse to believe that Dynamo turned into a juggernaut just ( Read more... )
